On December 14, 2025, the final round of the 20th "Dongfeng Nissan Cup — Tsinghua IE Liangjian National Industrial Engineering Innovation Competition" was held at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Initiated and hosted by the Department of Industrial Engineering at Tsinghua University, and co-organized by the General Office of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, and Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company, this competition is recognized as one of the largest, most prestigious, and most influential university-industry collaborative events in China's industrial engineering field.

After advancing through preliminary, semi-final, and final rounds, the IE team from our college stood out among more than 300 participating teams nationwide, securing one first prize and one third prize.

This year's competition introduced, for the first time, a dual-track system featuring a "Case Track" and an "Algorithm Track", under the theme "Data Aggregates Intelligence, Industry Drives Innovation and Upgrading." The event brought together hundreds of universities and leading industry enterprises from across the country, with a strong focus on the frontiers and real-world applications of industrial engineering theories in key areas such as smart manufacturing, supply chain optimization, digital twins, and lean operations. In addition to the on-site contests, the competition was also live-streamed online.

During the 20th-anniversary special award ceremony, Professor Kong Fansen from the Department of Industrial Engineering was honored with the "Outstanding Judge Award."

On the Case Track, the team guided by Instructors Wu Jiaqi, Liu Peng, and Chen Weizheng won the first prize, along with a cash award of 3,000 RMB. On the Algorithm Track, the team guided by Instructor Shan Hongying received the third prize.
