Professor Zhou is the recipitient of State Council Special Allowance. He has been to Japan, the United State and Gernany for technical research and development, academic visits and exchanges. He is committed to the research and development of new principles and new technologies in the fields of hard and brittle/composite ultra-precision cutting removal, complex optical surface and macro-micro functional surface ultra-precision cutting creation, multi-robot co-evolutionary processing and other scientific research fields. In recent five years, he has presided over 10 national and provincial scientific research projects, published more than 70 academic papers, and obtained more than 20 invention patents. The scientific research achievements were granted 7 provincial science and technology awards, including 3 first prizes. He won the second prize of National Teaching Achievement Award, and was appointed as the Young and Middle-aged Professional and Technical Talents with Outstanding Contribution in Jilin Province.
