Prof. Zhao has been appointed as a Tang Aoqing Distinguished Professor by Jilin University. He is a recipitient of the State Council Special Allowance, a winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, a leading talent of the national“10000 Talents Plan”, a recipient of the National Science Fund for Outstanding Youth Scholars, and appointed as a Senior Expert of Jilin Province. He is the vice president of Testing Machine Branch of China Instrument and Control Society, vice chairman of Standardization Technical Committee of Materials Testing Machine, senior member of China Mechanical Engineering Society, founding member of International Bionic Engineering Society, executive chairman of International Conference on Materials Testing Technology. He has long been committed to the research and development of testing technology for materials service performance and intelligent equipment, and has gained very positive results. He won the first prize of Technological Invention Award from the Ministry of Education, the first prize of the Technological Invention Award by Jilin Province, as well as the National Teaching Achievement Award and the Scientific and Technological Progress Award of Jilin Province.
