课程简介：本课程是研究运用投影法设计、绘制和阅读工程图样的理论与方法的一门学科，是一门既有系统理论又实践性较强的技术基础课。在现代化工业生产中，无论是机器设备的设计和制造，还是各种工程建设和施工过程，都离不开图样。所以，图样一直是人们用以表达设计意图、交流技术思想和指导生产制造的重要工具，同时也是一种重要的技术文件，图形的重要地位是任何一种表达方式所不能替代的。也正因为如此，人们常把图样称为工程界的“技术语言”。本课程培养学生绘制和阅读工程图样的能力、空间想象力、标准意识和工程意识，以及运用绘图软件的技能，为学生后续课程的学习和完成课程设计、毕业设计打下必要的基础。
Brief Introduction of the course “Engineering Graphics B”
“Engineering Graphics B” is a discipline basic course, mainly studying design, drawing and reading engineering drawing with projection method. This course not only has systematic theory but also has strong practicality and technicality. Designing and manufacturing process or other project construction cannot do without engineering drawing. Well during making use of machines and equipments, people comprehend the structures and performance by reading working drawings. Hence, engineering drawings are very important tools to express and communicate design ideas, and are important technical files of project technical department. Engineering drawing is named the language of engineering circles. The course mainly cultivates students’ abilities of reading and drawing engineering drawing, the ability of spacial imagination，standard consciousness and engineering consciousness, and also CAD technique. At the same time, the contents of “Engineering Graphics B” course are basic knowledge of subsequent course related synthetic training and graduation project.
