[Course Name] Mechanism and machine theory A(60 study hours/3.5 credits, Spring Semester)
【教学目的】 《机械原理A》是研究机械基础理论的一门学科，是高等学校机械类各专业的一门主干技术基础课程，在创造新机械所需的知识结构中占有核心地位。本课程的教学目的是培养学生掌握机构学和机器动力学的基本理论、基本知识和基本技能，学会各种常用基本机构的分析和综合方法，培养学生机械系统方案创新设计的思维方式和方法，以及机械系统方案的综合设计能力、创新设计能力和工程实践能力。
[Course Objects] Mechanisms and machine theory is one of the mechanical basic theory courses. It is also a main technical and fundamental course and occupies the core position in creating new machines and mechanisms. Mastering basic kinematic and dynamics theories of machinery, basic knowledge and basic skills are the course tasks. And it also contains learning how to synthesise and analyze with common mechanism knowledge. Develop the way and methods of creative thinking in machinery system movement design. Foster the capacities of comprehensive design, creative design and engineering practice.
【教学内容】本课程内容共分十一章。课程主要对已有机械机构（包括齿轮机构、连杆机构、凸轮机构）进行结构分析、运动分析和动力学分析，根据运动和动力性能方面的要求，探索设计机械装置的途径和方法。
前期课程：高等数学、大学物理、理论力学和金工实习等。
[Teaching Content] This course is divided into eleven chapters. The course mainly explains some developed mechanisms （including gears, linkages., cam mechanisms）and does analysis such as the structural analysis, mechanisms analysis of force and motion. According to the motion and kinematic properties, make research on the means and methods for designing mechanical devices.
Prerequisite courses are as follows: advanced mathematics，College Physics，theoretical mechanics and metalworking practice.
【授课对象】 本课程的授课对象为机械工程、车辆工程、发动机、能源与动力工程、汽运工程、汽车服务工程、农机和包装工程专业的本科生。
[Target Students] The course is designed for undergraduate students of mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering, engine, energy and power engineering, auto application engineering, automobile service engineering, agricultural, packaging.
