[Course Name] Mechanics of Materials A(Bilingual) 96 study hours/6 credits, Spring Semester

【教学目的】 《材料力学A》是力学、机械类专业的一门重要专业基础课,用以培养学生在工程设计中有关力学方面的设计计算能力,并为后续专业课学习奠定基础。通过揭示构件的强度、刚度和稳定性问题的基本概念及必要的基础知识,培养学生解决问题的能力;以理论分析为基础,培养学生的实验动手能力,树立正确的设计思想,解决好工程设计中经济与安全的矛盾,具备创新精神, 发挥其它课程不可替代的综合素质教育作用。

[Course Objects] "Material Mechanics A" is an important professional course for mechanics and mechanical. It is used to cultivate students' design and calculation capabilities in engineering design and to lay the foundation for further professional courses. The ability of solving the problem is formed by revealing the basic concepts and necessary basic knowledge of the strength, rigidity and stability of the components. Based on the theoretical analysis, cultivate the students' practical ability, establish the correct design idea and solve the engineering design in the economic and security contradictions, with the spirit of innovation, play other courses irreplaceable comprehensive quality education.

【教学内容】本课程内容共分十五章(含附录A)。课程主要研究工程中构件的承载能力问题,在满足强度、刚度、稳定性的前提下,以最经济的代价,为构件选择合适的形状,设计合理的截面形状和尺寸,为设计提供计算依据;通过从工程问题中抽象出力学模型,从而对构件进行外力分析、内力分析、应力分析、应变分析、应力~应变分析,掌握构件的受力变形、破坏的规律,结合材料的力学性质,为构件设计计算提供基本理论。

[Teaching Content] The course is divided into fifteen chapters (including Appendix A). The course mainly studies the bearing capacity of the components in the project. Under the premise of satisfying the strength, rigidity and stability, the reasonable shape is selected for the components at the most economical cost, and the reasonable cross-sectional shape and size are designed to provide the calculation basis for the design. Through the analysis of the engineering model, the external force analysis, internal force analysis, stress analysis, strain analysis, stress-strain analysis, mastering the deformation and failure of the component are carried out. Combining with the mechanical properties of the material design provide basic theoretical calculation for the structures.

【授课对象】本课程的授课对象为机械工程、工程力学、车辆工程、工业设计、能源与动力工程、汽运工程、汽车服务工程、农业机械化及其自动化、包装工程、农业机械化及其自动化工科实验班。本课程要求授课对象先修下列课程:高等数学、大学物理、工程图学、理论力学等。

[Target Students] The target students of this course mainly are the undergraduates in mechanical engineering, automobile engineering, automobile engine thermal energy and power engineering, automobile application engineering, automobile service engineering, agricultural mechanization and automation, packaging engineering. They should have learned the following courses: Advanced Mathematics, College Physics, Engineering Graphics, Theoretical Mechanics etc.
